Journey of Healing: Fingerprints & Sunrise

During this season of healing, I will share images that emphasize unity, love, and peace.

Titled “Fingerprints & Sunshine,” this image comes from the days following the colonoscopy and discovery of the large mass. These were the worst of the days as I was shocked and scared.

The sun rose differently this morning, and the rays were breaking through the trees. Following a long night with little to no sleep, I sipped my coffee, and discovered peace in nature right in my back yard.

When I moved to the couch to say some prayers, I took this image. The photos of the smeared fingerprints and hands of my little girls revealed perfection. How often I would worry about keeping a tidy home, these prints were once a distraction. Now they are a welcomed reminder of what and who matters most.
