The Next Chapter: Podcast

For a few years now, I have wrestled with the idea of having a podcast and using video to share my messages of healing and love.

Last year, I made a New Year’s resolution to do this, buying the necessary equipment and doing all the research to launch in 2025. It never happened.

When I discovered my cancer diagnosis last summer, there was a level of regret, but also thanksgiving that I didn’t have to manage multimedia efforts when everything was swirling out of control.

There are some reasons why I didn’t launch the podcast earlier.

The obvious one is the technical aspect, learning how to use technology properly so the podcast and videos are clean, clear, and engaging. While I am happy with The Healing Journey’s first episode, I am confident it will only improve as I continue to learn and sharpen these newly developed tools and skills.

I was also hesitant to do this due to my Ego. I was critical of how I looked, or my credibility to do this well. I questioned, “who am I to do this,” especially with so many voices already demanding our attention.

Cancer changed this, and although I look and feel more tired than I did last year at this time, I can no longer wait to lose a few more pounds, or have rested eyes and perfectly “flowing” hair.

It is now time.

In the first episode, I note that at the very least, this will capture my “wisdom” for my kids for an unpredictable future. I hope, it is much more than this, especially as our divided world needs healing and unity.

In my ministry of representing the Sisters of Charity Federation at the UN, I continue to be overwhelmed by the division in our world. So many are suffering from corruption, selfishness, greed, and the need to retain or claim power.

No matter what political side you plant your flag, our own country is also hurting as violence reigns in our rhetoric, communities, and schools.

While advocacy is essential, it does not matter if we do not work on ourselves. We are in need of both an individual and collective healing, and this is what The Healing Journey Podcast seeks to provide.

Thank you for accompanying me through this website and my books, and I now invite you to walk with me on The Healing Journey Podcast.

You can listen to the The Healing Journey Podcast on Spotify, Apple Music, or watch/listen on YouTube.
